gallery. Live music performances from students performing original pieces as
well as covers of many different styles of music will be the opening set. The
last set of the night will be a performance from The Touchables, a cover band
from Cincinnati. This is definitely a night you and your family won't want to
miss! If you are

What are we
learning and creating in art class?
During
this art rotation, we are learning about the famous illustrator and artist,
Eric Carle. We are painting, using
texture, creating collages, drawing, and mixing art media to create some
amazing Eric Carle inspired pieces!
Kindergarteners
are creating a flower collage inspired by The
Tiny Seed by Eric Carle.
First
graders are creating a firefly collage by The
Very Lonely Firefly by Eric Carle.
Second
graders are creating a chameleon collage inspired by The Mixed-Up Chameleon by Eric Carle.
Third
graders are creating a caterpillar collage inspired by The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle.
Fourth
graders are creating a seahorse collage inspired by Mister Seahorse by Eric Carle.
Fifth
graders are creating a nighttime collage inspired by Papa, Please Get the Moon for Me by Eric Carle.
We
can hardly wait to share these pieces with you!
The children have been enjoying exploring painting with various textures
and creating collages from their paintings.
They have been working so hard and the collages are absolutely
stunning! All pieces from this rotation
will be matted and framed and will be lining the hallways during
Huskypalooza. If you would like to
purchase the framed art, the cost will be $30 at the event. We are so proud of our creative artists and
look forward to our very first school-wide art gallery!!!
Important
announcements from your art teachers:
*Be sure to check out
our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/HarmonyElementaryArt . Here you will find pictures
of what we are creating in the art room.
*Are you able to help
with supplies for the art room? We are completely out of paper towels. If you have a roll or two to spare, we’d
greatly appreciate your help! And, we
can always put newspaper
to use!
