News from the Art Room - Rotation 2

What are we learning and creating in the art class?

During our second art rotation, we are learning about famous artists while painting. 

Kindergarteners are studying Claude Monet and using his painting, Water Lilies, for inspiration.

First graders are studying Paul Klee and using his painting, Cat and Bird, for inspiration.

Second graders are studying Henri Matisse and using his painting, The Goldfish, for inspiration.

Third graders are studying Vincent van Gogh and using his Sunflowers painting for inspiration.

Fourth graders are studying Henri Matisse and using his Purple Robe and Anemones painting for inspiration.

Fifth graders are studying Vincent van Gogh and using his Irises painting for inspiration.

*Artsonia is off to a great start!  Be sure to check out our school’s online gallery.  If he/she hasn’t already, your child will be bringing home the login information for his/her account during this art rotation.  Be sure to login, set it up, and share the link with your family so they can view and comment on your child’s published pieces!  Stay tuned for more information!

*Are you able to help with supplies for the art room? Here are a few things on our wish list that we can put to great use:
-small toys or trinkets (these can be new or gently used)
